Condemns prolonged incarceration of Muhammad Shaban of Kulgam and harassment of Beerwah student

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has applauded the release of JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya). From incarceration Bashir Boya was arrested by police on 27th September 2016 …and was twice slapped with PSA. Recently high court quashed his PSA and ordered his release after which he has been released now . JKLF chairman visited Bashir Ahmad Boya and congratulated him on his release. Appreciating his valor and passion JKLF chairman termed his release as a good omen for resistance movement. While condemning the prolonged incarceration of elderly Mohammad Shaban of Kulgam from Tehreeq-I- Hurriyat who is languishing in jail from a long time and despite his daughter being married is not being released. JKLF chairman said that elderly person is being torture in jail despite court orders to release him. It is worth to mention that Muhammad Shaban Sahib was arrested in 2016 and recently high court quashed his PSA and ordered his release but despite these orders he is not being released from incarceration. Meanwhile JKLF chairman has expressed his anguish over the continuous harassment of a young student of Rathsona Beerwah Suhail Ahmad Bhat s/o Gulam Aasan Bhat by police. Police is unnecessary harassing this student and jeopardizing his career. JKLF chairman said that jeopardizing the career of a student is an example of how so-called rulers are ruining the careers of our future generation. Ends
